So far I'm still having the same symptoms of being cold all day and having dry skin (mostly my hands). They are so dry, it feels like I could peel the top layer of my skin off. Flaky and crunchy skin on your hands is NOT sexy. I've been alternating between using shea butter and coconut oil on my skin. Like I said, I went through this phase when I went raw...this too shall pass.
Tonight I took part of the master cleanse solution and warmed it up in a little pot. It was great as a tea. Warmed my insides.
I'm writing on day 5 because life is so busy now that I'm no longer on Spring Break. I thought I'd have less energy now that I'm back to school but that is not the case. One of my co-workers told me that I'm glowing. I ran into another at the mall with her family. One of her family members hadn't seen me in years and said I looked wonderful. She didn't say that to ME :( but she relayed it through my co-worker. She then asked her what did I do to lose the weight. My co-worker told her how I'm eating only raw fruits and vegetables. Her relative turned her nose up and said that was not an option for her :( I used to feel that way. I used to say, "those crazy raw people", and now I'm one of them.
So far it hasn't been a problem teaching all day and doing the master cleanse. Luckily I have a bathroom in the library because drinking a gallon of liquid requires that you eliminate frequently. The kids are so used to me drinking my green smoothies and juices that no one asks about the huge gallon jug I am carrying around on a string. They think it's "cute". I bought the PERFECT container at Walmart in the camping section. It's made of plastic with a wide mouth and has a folding opening in the lid for you to drink. When you screw off the top, the mouth is wide enough for you to fit your entire hand. I want to get in there and make sure it is clean. I've done the cleanse before with a narrow gallon container only to find MOLD growing inside...eww.The bag also came with a nylon carrying case that zips off from the bottom. It looks like a mini backpack...or purse.
The challenge now is finding organic lemons. The selection at Trader Joe's is pathetic. Their lemons were too small and hard. I just had my partner email all of her friends to see if anyone has a tree. I have one more day's worth of lemons before I need to start knocking on doors in my neighborhood to ask if I can pick lemons from trees on home owner's property. Most of the time when people own fruit trees, they are so sick of the fruit, they are MORE than happy to allow you to pick all you want. We shall see.
